Help...Privacy Curtains

We didn't like the curtain options available for our RV so we did this: LINK

We live in Texas and it gets really hot. We bought a roll of the insulated silver bubble stuff (sorry don't know what it is called)and cut three pieces. One for the windshield, one for the driver's window and one for the passenger side window. We cut them all just a little too big and friction holds them end. Very easy, very light weight, very inexpensive. Provides great privacy as well as insulation.

I ditched the so called privacy curtains and their velcro strips and tabs. They were to much trouble and always falling down.

For real privacy I went with one of These
An ADCO Deluxe windshield cover.

The nice thing about them is that I can have total privacy or open up the covers over the windshield and windows and look out, you can also open up the side windows and get in a breeze and not let the bugs in.

It is also nice to have access to the cab area if needed and in my case with my Swivel Seat it opens up the area without that pesky curtain in the way.

Our Jayco has Velcro Dots on what I call the Divider (the solid part separating cab from house) and Velcro strips on the curtain. Our Divider is fake woodgrain about 5/8" thick so we usually secure it the "Binder Clips" from the office supply. Keeps from digging into the corners.

A blanket with the top tucked under the mattress. Besides privacy it along with a windshield cover helps cooling the RV in extreme heat.

I just put the folding sunshade in the windshield and don't worry about someone peeking in side door windows.

Our Gulfstream came with a lined curtain material and uses 2 gripper snaps.

We have a very nice insulated curtain that snaps on for our 2003 Winnie Class C. But I found a large accordion fold silver windshield cover for $1.50. There were also the popup oval window shades for $1.50 for two (end of summer clearance). I bought those too. It was worth a try. They fit perfectly in the driver and passenger side window. The visors hold the accordion fold cover in place.

This all works so simple and quick that I use it 90% of the time. These are quick to put up, to take down, and store right behind the drivers seat.

One time we needed more insulation, so we used the window covers and the insulated curtain. We could more easily maintain a comfortable temperature in the house.

Ours came with this privacy curtain that has a built in velcro strip that runs around the top of the cab under the overhead. Run your thumb once around the edge and its in place. A tug and it's down. Works great. Up or down in a couple of seconds. Perfect for quick stops also. We also have the Adco cover for the outside but seldom use it unless we are staying somewhere a few days and there's a great view out the windshield. The velcro strip for the inside curtain makes it so easy it's usually all we want. Our old B had velcro dots which were a pain sometimes getting things lined up.
