Help with touch up paint?

The paint on my coach is BASF Diamont. I have the paint codes and the formulas for the colors I need. From what I have been told, the formulas will not cross reference to PPG or other brands. No one in this area of the country seems to deal with Diamont, and HR/Monaco will not ship it because it is a dangerous substance. Anyone know how to get around this dilemma?

I took my door off the water heater in and they (Lordco parts in BC) scanned it and mixed up a spray bomb for me. It is a pretty close match other than in some lights it looks a bit darker. The blue color on my coach changes in different light conditions and is almost impossible to totally match. I was very pleased with the result.

I don't know if your local NAPA store has invested in one but our local store has a device that matches the paint exactly. I took the coach to their store and after cleaning a area they put it on the paint. It gave them codes. Then the codes are put into their computer and it gives them the base and tint. They matched all three colors perfectly for me. You can get it either in a spray or pint cans.

I am sure someone other than NAPA probably has one.

I have the information you need. Lakeland Florida has a supplier near where I live. I will send you a PDF if you PM me with your e-mail. I sure wish this forum would modernize. There are several notes on my pdf so a picture will not suffice.

Have you tried a good paint shop, They scan the paint and come up with a very good match.

According to the website, the way I understand it there is no BASF or Diamont dealer in the southeast.

Try Auto Body Supply in El Paso, Tx. We bought for a whole coach repaint from them. They will ship. If you bought the Diamont base from them, is there a BASF outlet to complete the tint? Auto Body mixed to formula for us which I figure they would do for you, too. Sorry I couldn't locate a phone number for you. I believe the fellow there was Bob. Hope this helps a little.
