A friend of mine always keep close contact with the golf cart guys.. Seems like most of rich golfers will just replace their golf cart batteries every year whether they need it or not... He rounds up all of the used 6VDC golf cart batteries he can find and runs his expert charge routines on them and usually comes up with several he can use for his camper... I got a couple from him one time and they worked great... The cost was FREE haha...
The golf carts sometimes use the 8VDC battery in their banks so have to be sure you are picking out the 6VDC batteries...
I am in the market for four each 12VDC Trojan Batteries T-1275s for my next battery bank upgrade. These are 150AH batteries and will each produce 12VDC @ 25Amps for 280 minutes (4.6 hours) two of course in parallel will give me 9.2 hours of use or 4.6 hours if I only run them down to 50% charge... 25AMPs is alot of DC current to use in one day/nite run off the batteries. One guy down in NC has found a source for them around $150 each new from a golf course place...
Some of the highest priced batteries I was aware of was the LIFELINE Sealed AGMs 12VDC at 255AHs for $650 each... Thats some serious dollars for me... Too much for this ole Southern Illinois Dirt Farmer...
Deals are out there... and I guess as the old saying goes... You get what you pay for...
