Hello everybody.
To many of us who have known a sense of belonging in
this single odd thread about old Dodge RVs, and to
those perusing the posts for their adventures in an
older RV for their first time, welcome. In 2004, this
thread came to be, and has grown in a way that still,
to this day, just blows my mind.
I have a favor to ask of all of you, for one person
here in this little "flock"... read on...
Back in the days of the the "wagon trains" crossing
the then little known West, all traveling shared more
than a common destination. In the process of "getting
there" they combined their efforts to help and protect
each other along the way. Sometimes, to defend themselves
from enemies, inclement weather, and other hazards, the
wagon master would call all to "circle your wagons"
and "hold your ground". This unified them not only in
defense of each other, but in purpose as well.
We all have been united in purpose here, in our interest of our
old/new RV's, and our own unique little bit of the American spirit.
Now I ask each one of you to please combine your hearts and
thoughts in whatever means you can- prayer, meditation and
actions to help one of our own. Trish. And "hold your ground"
when you do. For those of us who have known her company here,
Trish, along with Leeann, has been like our "den mother", and
like Paul Lynde, our resident wit and humorist. Please, "circle
our wagons, folks". It matters. As each one of us does.
your friend,
Mark
