How to remove powergear slide motor/gearbox?

Pleased and surprised: Power Gear replied the same day. Although they didn't directly answer my questions, they forwarded links to some helpful info.
Of particular interest is a step by step on how to replace the acme drive nut on a FLS DigiSync system. If there's enough room to remove the motor/gearbox, then I won't have to remove the much heavier, larger, longer outer and inner (square) tubes.
I can see the external portion of the gearbox shaft turning when the IN or OUT button is pushed so I'm thinking it may be a broken acme nut.
