I could take some surface roads but my rig is pretty big and heavy. Local traffic can be difficult.

Thanks for the replies. Our departure date from PHX will be 5/7. We will spend the 1st night in ABQ.
Keeping an eye on the weather, I hate running the gauntlet across tornado alley.
