I wish I could just go ahead an buy another DP ...

A new unit this time around, for example the 28BR Allegro Breeze. Which I could modify (the interior) to meet / fit Anonymous Jr. and my aka Anonymous' need for our work. BUT that's in our dreams cause we just plain ol'can't afford to do so!

Why am I feeling the frustration?

Well, the 97' Eagle's done good for us since we bought her back in March of 2007. A few repairs here an there, may be one or two small ones nothing major, e.g replacing an a/c unit once per year back in 2010, and 2011.

However, since 2013, it's been one after the other. Repair one problem, then BAM, as soon as we're done, ANOTHER!

It's sorta like the spirit of the "Float like a butterfly, Sting like a Bee" has possessed her! Yah know, right, left, upper cut. While I'm staggering on the ropes, ... a straight punch right in the nose! ... :S .. :B

Yup, one thing I learned a whiles back when you own one of these contraptions on wheels. Yah gotta have a sense of humor, or you're toast! ... :B

Anyways, I'll stop the violin play'in! Thanks for listening, gotta get back to work!

BTW, one good thing is Anonymous Jr. paid her off back in April.
  • I think the problem is even when new you my not be any better off with needing repairs. The way things are being made these days.

Better to replace/repair Motorhome parts than repairing/replacing body parts.

The glass is always half full.

As long as the same parts don't need to continue to be replaced until the end of normal life expectancy.

Neither me, nor my Motorhome is getting outta this world alive.
Well, researching a plan for me, is their a fountain of Youth, that works!

    Safe Travels,

If we find that fountain. We'll shot you a PM, to give you that first drink fur free! After that, ... let Tiffin know that we're a come'in! .... :B

It's the same on this side of the planet. I have no sooner fixed something when something else decides to take a break.
Mind you, being able to tinker while on the pacific coast in the far north means the jobs aren't quite as irritating as they would be back at a house with the same neighbours and sites for months on end.

Looks as though you're a part of the growing mobile work force like we are. One thing about our present situation / location is we're able to make these repairs without having any, or little inconvenience.

Unless we find a competent, and I mean COMPETENT mobile tech like the tech I found while we were on a construction project in Adelanto, CA.. Having repairs done are more or less like a poop shoot, difficult and expensive.

Completely normal for that age. Don't know your mileage but even if it only had say 50,000 miles on it there could still be many things that go wrong. It could have 12,000 miles on it and still have some of the same things go wrong. Sitting isn't always good. Rubber products still break down over the years etc. So water pumps, alternators, fuel pumps, radiators, furnace, house water pump, u joints are all normal. It may take x amount of repairs to put it back in dependable shape but you know what they say..."Its cheaper to keep her". :)

Yeah, I kind'ah known it all along, but you're right on the money and it's a good thing to know that it's cheaper to keep'her! ...

The down side is, at 40 feet, she's a bit to big for some job / construction sites!

We had the p-trap in the tub repaired a couple of days ago, and thank goodness American Coach installed the grey and back tanks with a screw in access at the top of the tanks. Because the seal broke at the screw in thing ah mah jig. So we had that repaired as well.

But man, to get to the p-trap you have to gain access to it through a trap door under the left (driver side) rear wheel well.

Now that we got that repaired. Anonymous walked in the bathroom this morning, and all I heard was a few cuss words cause his feet got soaked as the rug was wet as the Pacific ocean! So, now it looks like I may be buying a new throne.

And to think I was planning on buying a new Back up monitor and camera for her, .... like on, Monday? .... LOL

PS I gotta figure out how I can make Anonymous work harder to make me more money!

Well, houses need money too. I'd hate to think how much we've spent on upkeep for our house in the past 17 years. I bet it would make you feel better about your MH, though. :)

Yeah I hear you Snowman, thanks! ...... But, but, at the moment, I just ain't feeling better! ... :B
