How and why would anyone compare the ride of a car or SUV to a rv I will never know. Not even a close comparison.

Go back and read the second posts by Wolfe10. I was just confirming what he said. In theory, the car with IFS should have the advantage over the Cherokee. It doesn't. They are not that far apart in weight (approx. 2500 versus 3300.
As to comparing to an RV, that is just my way of saying that no RV built with what is basically heavy truck parts, and the driver and passenger positioned ahead of the front axle, will ever ride as well as any small passenger vehicle (motorcycles excepted).
People that do not care for the harsh and bouncy ride of an RV should travel by automobile and stay in motels.
Now I expect several will tell me how comfy your RV rides with brand X shocks and various addons.
