I think a lot of the problems we face get better with experience. Once you get used to having to fix things after each trip and begin to understand how things work you feel a little more comfortable. I have spent $12k in 11 years on mods, repairs and maintenance. I did most of the work myself except for chassis work, suspension, headers etc. At just over 100k miles I am not sure what can go next, everything is original(eng,trans,refer,AC's,etc). One way to look at it is this cost($12k) is a lot less than a one years deprecation of a new MH($30k).
