Leak on the roof...can I really do this myself?

So I have a Monaco Dynasty 1996 and I know I have a leak somewhere over top of the fridge. I believe it has travelled for not only is the area inside in front of the refrigerator on ceiling inside is wet so is across from the fridge on your the wall. I have never been on the roof before but believe I have to do this myself as most RV repair shop are too busy and I will have to wait. I am worried if I wait it might rain again and get worse (is that even possible? ). I am fearful of I don't really know what I am doing but feel the need to learn how to do this for it probably wont be the last time the MH has a leak. Words of wisdom muchly needed!

    If it is a larger repair, like a rip, Eternabond tape works very well. I removed a vent in order to install a 2nd A/C and used Eternabond tape to make a better seal than the exposed rough rubber roof area with the old screw holes.

    If you are physical able and comfortable to get on the roof, it wouldn't hurt doing this every now and then.
    There are always ways, drive to a friends house who has a second story and take a look at your roof.
    There are RV self wash places which have scaffolds, where you can get up to pressure wash that roof.

    You can have knowledge about what's going on there and won't be surprised if suddenly something major appears.

    You didn't say how agile you were. I agree with previous post if you feel uncomfortable they have techs that work in the RV parks. If you do go on the roof the leak is probably around fridge vent.If you have never been on the roof bet there are several places that need attention. Most use Dicor self leveling on the roof.

    Call a mobile RV technician. Call the local campgrounds in the area and ask if they have references for mobile techs. Then have them come out and fix it. If you don't usually go up on the roof DON'T. I know that I am no longer capable of getting up on my roof, so I won't. Even if the repair is simple the cost can and probably will be too great.

    Get a dehumidifier inside. May not help much but it will help dry out the inside. Fixing leaks on the roof is pretty easy if the roof is still sound. You can get fancy and take all the old Dicor sealant off the roof (it looks like caulk, it is a type of caulk) with a scraper of some kind. If a rubber roof just be careful. Then just get some Dicor and go around to every crack and crevice on the roof, every seam, fixture and around all screws, fridge vent cover, basically everywhere on the roof. It is pretty easy.
