Leaving RV in storage out of state

I would definitely look for covered storage and I'd winterize it unless the covered storage was indoors and heated. You'd probably want to leave it somewhere around Seattle or Portland for good flight connections. There are numerous storage places and prices will vary depending upon how urban, suburban, or rural the location is.

A lot of people do it. Snowbirds from all over leave them in the South someplace. A lot of people from Alaska leave them them in the States. We're from Alaska. When we brought it down we left it in Vancouver, WA for a while then picked it up last November, did the South West and left it in Surprise, AZ. We just picked it up and will head to Mt. Rushmore and then leave it in Salt Lake City where we'll pick it up next fall on the way to Texas (if the weather is decent). Then next spring we'll leave it in the South East someplace and fly home again.

I'd leave it in the Portland or Vancouver, WA area. You'll have good plane connections from Vancouver. My brother is in Vancouver and usually doesn't weatherize his, but I would since it got down to 10D for a couple of nights this last winter.

You need to figure out where you want to leave it because you should really have a covered or inside space if you don't want to winterize. You need to make the reservations for a covered space as soon as possible. Because of all the rain you won't find one in the fall.
