Lippert and Parts Availability Killng Joy of Motorhoming

2016 Itasca Suncruiser 38Q bought new in 2015. since purchase we've had 20 something repairs (find my earlier post about thus in the archives). just discovered two bad hydraulic lines and a bad jack. checking parts with good ole Lippert revealed parts could be shipped to shop....in 4-6 MONTHS! fortunately the shop has an alternate source and got the needed parts in 24-hrs. i'm certain my experience is not the only one but the joy of motorhoming is disappearing fast.

Since its so easy/quick to self-repair or have a local shop do the work I can see Lippert's position on parts availability. They are a business, not a charity.

point of the post was not our inability to find alternate source of parts...hoses and jacks. but rather lousy QC from winnebago and mostly lippert as well as no support at all from lippert.

Most every town has a hydraulic cylinder repair shop and hoses can be made up at any Parker Hannfin retail dealer. I think i'd do it myself and save a bundle. Certainly not rocket science.

as i wrote,..shop has alternate source and we have parts. this was not our first experience with Lippert.

Hoses? Any good hydraulic shop can make new ones while you wait. Bad jack? Same hydraulic shop can probably rebuild it for you in a few days. Very few things need to actually be bought from Lipert if you do some serious research.
