Looking for help with 2001 Fleetwood Expedition

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Expedition 34, motorhome and am having trouble replacing the storage door plastic catches? I have a couple that are broken I checked out YouTube it looked really easy to do? But when I checked my doors they were different there is a trim that goes around the door and the latches are underneath? And the screws that hold them in just keep turning? I am trying not to damage my door? Would anybody Please have a suggestion that could help me???? Thank you in advance for you help in this matter!!!!! Hope you have a blessed day.
  • I recently replaced the latches on one compartment of my 97 Fleetwood Bounder
You have (2) options and are not going to like either of them, and you will need to remove the trim on both ends, (all 8 screws) as you know, the latches are bolted to the trim, and the trim ís glued to the inside and outside faces, you need to slide a sharp edge between trim and the inside outside face sheets to loosened them

#1 Cut holes on the inside/backside of the door over the latches to enable you to disconnect the rods that move the latches, unscrew and remove trim, (cut glue) replace the latches, reassemble, this is the easy method,

#2 is unscrew all the trim, remove top and bottom long trim, and remove the inside / backside cover, Which is also glued to the Styrofoam filter

Remove door from RV for either method

I chose method #1, then covered the square holes with Foil Tape, nobody but me sees the backside of the door unless i leave it open
  • I changed some of mine on a 2005 Expedition 34H can you take pictures of what you have.
  • I got several parts for my 2003 Fleetwood Providence at Visone RV Salvage. They ship all over.
    They are located in Kentucky.
    Phone 606 843 9889.
They have several Different year Excursions in stocks,

May have some luck. Also look up Visonerv.com.
