lost nozzle inside tank

I LOst My Freshwater HoSe While Filling Up My Freshwater Tank. I Assume The Plastic Nozzle Went Inside The Tank. Any Worries ?
  • I've dropped oil pans on engines that had pieces of dipsticks broken off and laying in them. If that doesn't cause problems with the pressure and turbulence in an oil pan, a fill tube won't even rattle probably.
  • I bought one of those handy-dandy nozzles for end of garden hose to fill my fresh water tank.

About the 3rd time I used it......whoosh plastic tube blew off. That was over 6 yrs. ago. It's still in the fill tube or down in fresh water tank. Hasn't giving me a bit of trouble

I would not assume that the "nozzle" went into the tank. Lots of fill tubes have a check valve in them that would stop the journey.
  • Should not hurt anything its really to big to clog up any of the drain holes or the pump supply line. Just an oops if you are concerened drain the tank and remove the fill hose and see if you can get it out.
  • Probably not, unless it blocks a drain or the the pump intake. Even if that happens, it will most likely move pretty easily. If it were me, i wouldn't worry about it unless I started having some sort of blockage. My $.02 worth.
