Low coolant Question

Another question about this 2 thousandand 5 Fleetwood experiod there's a little Box by the stair wheel Not sure what it goes to but it says low coolant? All the dash gages show temp is fine. Can someone tell me what the little box goes to and why it's said low coolant? I have pic but don't know how to insert them . Thank you
  • Without a picture, I assume it's the little panel that gives you various warnings like low or high alternator output, low oil pressure or a low coolant level. Have you gone around back and checked the coolant level in the overflow tank. You're probably low even though you aren't overheating - yet.

  • Sensor is generally in the coolant recovery, overflow tank, expansion tank where the coolant gets added.
Does the fluid level in the tank seem normal?

  • It should trigger a low coolant level when it gets low but before it's low enough to cause overheating. As suggested find the radiator overflow tank and make sure it's full. I would probably also wait until the coach is cold so you don't get burned.
  • My motorhome is a 2001 with the c9 Cat, about 2years ago I had to replace my overflow tank because it started leaking. The tanks are made of a plastic so they do go bad. If you are low on coolant it is probably the tank. Check-it. When coolant goes low there is almost always a leak.
