Pedal extensions

These work great. I need to have my seat mount cut down one inch. Even with the electric seat at its lowest level my feet barely touch. I am 5'9" so not short.

I cut a 4x4 block of wood and glued some anti slip on the top and bottom and put a slant on the front. This is for my left foot to rest on.

I lowered the drivers seat 2" on my last two DP's. At the same time I moved the seat back 2" also. Both were on pedestals I cut and re-welded and made my leg position much more comfortable. In my case both seats were 6 way power units on pedestals. I have seen pedestals in different heights if that is how yours is setup. Make sure there is room under the seat to lower it.

A quick search of the internet shows that there are several companies that make pedal extenders and hardware kits to extend the pedals.
I think your best bet would be to find a garage you trust and ask them to install the extensions to your specifications. If you have another driver, you may want to go tiwht something adjustable or removable for the other driver.

I would be very leary of lowering that seat. when I first started driving years ago, I could not reach the pedals ( clutch, brake and gas) So, by adding wood blocks to each of them I was able to drive. Warning tho, if you get in there with wet shoe bottoms, those blocks will become slippery and unsafe.

Once you cut the pedestal of that seat, it will be short forever. If you find that the short seat impairs your vision, You wont be able to change it.

i wanted to maintain my forward vision
i took the easy way, i got a piece of 2*8 wood block
glued velcro to one side
and stuck it to the carpet in front of the pedals
ive been driving it that way for six years

My seat wasn't originally power adjustable. I bought a power adjuster from Ebay. It added about 2" of height to the seat, which was too much.

The seat was on a rectangular steel fabrication. I carefully cut a 2" section out of it and welded it back together. I suspect that you could take, whatever your seat is mounted on, to a fabrication and welding shop, and they would shorten it by whatever you wanted.

If you want to get fancy and have a nice soft ride, you can install an air seat. Air seats can be lowered and raised by a large range of height.

Otherwise, a metal seat pedestal can be cut down and welded back together to make it shorter.

Install an electric 6 way controlled seat.... push the button down and down it goes.

I don't want to offend you but if you are vertically challenged will your forward vision be adversely affected if you lower the seat? i have seen some over the road trucks that the driver has added spacers to the pedals, it might be another option.
