M/H to Toad Braking Systems

We have a 1991 Monaco Dynasty 36 Diesel pusher and are getting ready to tow our 2010 Jeep Liberty and are wondering what most rv'rs recommend for a braking system. We have the Sterling tow bar system in place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From a Brake Buddy owner.....do NOT buy one of them!
Buy one of the automatic braking systems.

If you camp more than a couple times a year shoving that BB in and out of your Toad every time you use it gets REAL old and hard on the back.

My Toad was a Tracker and I had to just about get on my hands and knees to get that Brake Buddy in, adjusted, clamped on, tested etc.

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

I agree with Mowermech. I have used the ReadyBrake for 8 years on 4 different vehicles. It is currently on my 2012 Jeep Liberty.

It works great.

My vote is SMI Braking Systems. I will say it matters more that you have one rather than which brand. These are all good systems. Research your area as to who sells which product and why. We have had our system in 3 different honda cr-v's and 3 different motorhomes. These systems are very portable from one vehicle to another; they are made to last.

I use RVI and took me awhile to decide between that and Blue Ox Patriot. The RVI is once it is set up its done.

I upgraded from a box brake to the Roadmaster Invsibrake. Absolutely nothing to do - no switches, cables, air lines or anything else. A light on the MH dash indicates the brake is activated.

There are a variety of braking systems and the above recommendations are all good.

Check out M&G before you buy anything else. I am pretty sure there is a Jeep model and it plugs into your current braking system. It's always there and you just connect an air line between the MH and toad and you have fully proportional braking.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.

Another vote for Ready Brake. I have been using one for 7 years without any issues. Simple, effective and inexpensive.

It is simple, NOT failure prone, purely mechanical, relatively inexpensive, easy to adjust and use, and not too difficult to install.
Installation is a one time job. Once it is done, it never has to be redone.
It works with any towbar.
If your coach has air brakes, the AF1 is a good system, so the users say.
