Well Gang,
Here's what I just found out. We're most likely moving to AZ (Havasu area) in the very near future. But, just for grins, I thought I'd check into Utah's registration fees for our '04 Itasca Horizon. Here's the stats:
1. Vehicle Registration Fee: $44.25
2. Vehicle Weight based Fee: $183.50
3. Assess tax/year/make/model Fee: $680.97
4. Annual State Inspection fee: Approx. $100.00
Total for our 10 year old coach, $1008.72
As of this minute, our present fees for here in CA, $355.00.
California is a pain in the a$$ state to live in. Sure, it's got ultra nice weather, some great scenery, and, of course the ocean, deserts, mountains etc. all within a short driving time. But, as most of you know, it's costly to live here. It's crowded, and, it's not getting any better. But, to me, it's incredibly amazing that, as much as CA is always higher in many areas of cost, that the difference between the DMV fees for our coach, here in sunny So CAL, are so much lower than a state like Utah.
This is not a California bashing post, it's just some stated fact. I've lived here my whole life, barring some time in the service. Where we're headed, it's going to be a whole lot cheaper to live, fees, taxes, gasoline, diesel, food, home owners insurance and more, than it is here. It's time I gave myself a raise.

These Utah fees are accurate folks, which is why I say stay out of Utah. They will rip you off!
