We love our Nexus. 23P (24'), and never even considered a slide for most of the reasons listed above. For us most of the rationalizations to justify "Have" to have a slide simply don't apply (no kids, one dog, like to camp/boodock etc).
You see a lot of posts from the slide loving denier crowd swearing they never have issues, always good for a chuckle, but a week never goes buy without multiple slide problem threads. Find the floor plan that works best for you slide or not, just buy with your eyes(and perhaps even a slide or two), wide open.
Oh, by the way... don't believe the nonsense that you cannot sell an RV that does not have a slide. If anything, given the proliferation of slides, those without might just be easier to sell as they become harder to find.
