- rctourExplorerIf the moisture is between the glasses, there is no fixing it, by yourself. The seal is broken and it needs to be replaced or completely taken apart and resealed by a glass company.
- JR45ExplorerThis is a problem on a lot of coaches. I have had 1 resealed and have 2 more to get resealed. Thats what happens when you are riding in an earthquake all the time.
JR - Big_KatunaExplorer IIThey can be repaired. There is a place on the west coast, don't remember the name.
There is a place in Hudson FL I am going to take mine to. One company, SEGI made years of windows that fogged up. Very common problem.
You do NOT have to replace the windows. - supercubExplorerI have heard some are replacing the dual panes with a thicker single pane window.....no more leaking problems.
Brian - DachristianmanExplorerThis may sound odd, but if you're going to replace it, try to break the seal yourself, clean both sides, reseal the bottom 3 sides with RTV, fill with some nitrogen (sold in stores for wine bottles), and seal the top. It's worth a try.
- Doug_and_Cassi_ExplorerI had two fixed in Hudson, FL at SUNCOAST DESIGN. Great outfit. They have about 15 WE sites at their plant.
CALL FOR APPOINTMENT. They are busy. They take the windows out on first day and have you ready to go the next afternoon. Cost me about $420.00 for two windows.
They cover and protect the openings where windows are removed.
Plant tours are given. A simple process but takes special equipment. They heat and press the panes back together. They DO NOT use nitrogen. The secret, and very time consuming part of the process is cleaning THOROUGHLY both sheets of glass. - Big_KatunaExplorer IIWhich is cheap. I had one replaced under warranty and it was over $1000. Failed a year later.
- Dick_BExplorerIt surely is a pain when the double pane window gets foggy.
- BumpyroadExploreryep, I had double pain windows on my second MH. didn't order them on the third.
bumpy - sowegoExplorerNot all brands of double pane windows are the same. Segi windows have had issues. Ours are Hehr and after 11 years, not one has had a broken seal. If you have it repaired or replaced I'd be sure they warranty thier work.
I know some folks won't go without double pane and some won't have them. It has been our experience and observation that they are a great benefit unless you get a bad brand, then all bets are off.
