I have a kwikee system on my unit that I bought about 3 months ago, I thought my motor was open, but it turned out after removing the motor that motor was not getting a ground. On mine the ground wire was connected to the aluminum base plate, and the motor got its ground from this base plate. After removing the motor I found exteme corrosion between this aluminum base plate and the steel motor housing. I cleaned up the motor and the plate, and also drilled and tapped a 1/4" hole in the motor itself, and run a new ground wire straight to the battery. Problem solved. My question would be when you push the up or down controls does the relays, or solenoid valves click, if they don't, check your ground wire on this unit. Being you can tap on this unit I think I would be looking for dirty or loose wires or grounds. Good luck heres hoping its something as simple as my problem. Mine I consider a engineering desigh flaw, it the fact that Steel and Aluminum will corrode over time, the resistance on mine was absolute inf. Good luck, heres hoping its a simple fix. If you need more details, feel free to email. Geo
