my 1989 chevy coil springs need replaced on my chassis p30

Hi there. My name Clarence nobles. I just sign up on here thought maybe i could post but can not figure out how to. I need to find someone that knows about my mobile home rv. My problem I am having with it is that The back is riding way to low and I done know my coil springs needs replaced but I can not find no one no web sights no parts stores no where at all has them for the rear only the front ones. i need the rear ones. My rv is a 36 feet 1989 Brovo Chevy P30 When they type that in it shows only the front not rear that I need Theres no part number on the old ones also. where and how do I post here this and see if anyone can tell me what to do to find these. or can you maybe help me with this please. I can send add photos if I need to.

I need to find these coil springs money is not a problom
  • That is odd that you would have coil springs on the rear of the P30 chassis, unless they supplement the leaf springs.

My old 89 P30 chassis Winnebago was a tail dragger too and I fixed it by putting Hellwig helper springs on it and also a set of air bags and that fixed it.

The Air Bags helped a lot when towing my Desert Toys.

The local Truck spring shop was way more expensive and would not guarantee that what I told them to do was enough or to little.

  • I have never seen COIL springs on the rear of a P30 chassis. LEAF Springs only. Which you can either re arch or add a leaf. Some P30 did have AIR Bag systems added on in the rear. Can you take a pic of the Coil springs? I wonder if someone jerry rigged a coil spring on your RV over the years. Doug
  • Yes, there were some aftermarket transversely mounted helper leaf springs for the P 30.

I would get with Henderson AFTER weighting the front end so you are able to get the correct springs (no air bags needed) for your actual "going down the road" weight.

My P-chassis Pace Arrow has coil springs in the rear. It has MOR RYDE. they install them with that suspension.

  • Mor-Ryde tag did use coils and rubber blocks for suspension. Make sure those aren't torn up also.
  • I also have coil spring suspension (P-30) with the mor ryde tag set up. No question, air bags added to the drive axle will enhance the performance with an ability to; level, and adjust with full tanks. I used Firestone Ride Rite air bags for the rear, a little tricky for clearance, make sure they don't rub or have the possibility of coming in contact with an abrasive surface.
