Need help finding a Class A RV training video...

Hey All,

I came across (what I thought) was a really good Class A RV training video a few months ago on Youtube and I can't seem to find it again.

The video showed the driver using visual markers on the windshield to determine the point at which you should begin to make your turns and also put tape on the backup monitor to show you the distances things are from your coach (I believe a bottom piece showing you objects 3' from your rear bumper and a top piece showing 12' from the rear bumper).

I'd really like to watch the video again but I can't seem to find it. I've seen others use visual markers on the windshield for help staying in the lane while driving but I haven't seen any others show how to setup for a turn using them.

Anyone happen to know what video I am speaking of? I've watched a bunch on RVgeeks, BetterRVing, RV Training 101 but this one video is eluding me lol.

Oh and as you can probably tell by this post I don't own a MH yet but I will be renting one in the near future. I have ample experience driving 4 and 5 ton box trucks with boxes up to 26" and detached trailers so I don't anticipate having too much trouble but I'd like to be as prepared as possible before I get behind the wheel.

  • Wow great videos and as a newbie I learned a lot. Thanks for posting your question.
  • Thanks all for the help. It was the Mark Polk series I was after.

I barely even had time to watch it before my trip began but that said, I had no troubles at all driving a 38' Outlaw all around Los Angeles last week. I spent a few bucks on a Truck/Bus GPS app that let me input the vehicles size and weight and it only routed me on proper roads with no truck restrictions or low overhangs. Definitely think that helped out a lot as my last trip to LA was spent driving a 26' box truck while using Waze as my GPS app and that constantly routed me down streets with truck restrictions lol (which resulted in this a couple times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGiQOCX9UbM ).
  • It sounds like a video by Mark Polk. His videos are called RV Education 101. He is on you tube and has some excellent videos out.
  • Could that video be on Lazydays RV's web site? They had one very similar on their site.
  • Also, go to www.Rvtravel.com it's an online type magazine and has good info and videos.
