Here's a tip. Yes the brackets are attached with screws BUT....
It's tricky and I have to admit I almost went mad trying to figure it out but the shade fits 'inside' that bracket. You have to muscle the shade up and out of that screwed in bracket. Not a lot of room to do it but once you get the angle they come right out.
