Need info on 1989 Tioga Montara

Hi there, this will be my first post, so forgive me if I'm up there on the newbie scale..

I have been looking and researching RVs, trailers and the like for about 3 months now and I have saved up enough money to pick one out. I have decided to go with a class C as it will fit my boyfriend and I's needs. **We will be traveling full-time and boon-docking/dry camping a lot (We are planning on going with solar power). We do not have children, but we do have a medium-sized husky that will be with us. My boyfriend and I are used to living in a very small space already.**

There is a local ad for a 1989 Tioga Montara with 59,200 miles on it. The seller is asking $5200 for the RV. The description on the ad is:
"1989 Tioga Montara RV for sale. 350 Chevrolet motor with 59,200 miles. Has Onan Generator, stove, refrigerator with freezer, awning and bathroom with shower. Everything works and runs good."

I have looked for information on the Tioga Montara but haven't really been able to find any solid stuff. I guess my question is would this be a good RV for what I'm planning to do? And does anyone have any info or links they can provide about the Tioga? Also, based on the pictures that I'll post below, does this appear to be in good/decent condition?(I know it's hard to tell from 5 pictures)

Any and all information is appreciated! I contacted the seller about it and they are suppose to get back to me with more pictures so I will post those later if I receive them. Thank you!!!!

Any rig you get in the age range you are looking at will most likely need new tires. EVEN IF THE TREAD LOOKS NEW the life span of an RV tire is about 6-7 years.
They rot before wear out and you usually cannot see the rot. So plan on 750-1000 for new tires immediately. A blowout can cause severe body damage

(Sorry this has nothing to do with the Tioga..I just thought I'd throw it in here to give an idea of the type that I'm looking at.)

Ouch, not looking like it's the "one" based on you all's information. Thanks so much for the prompt replies!

To answer a few questions:
-I haven't looked at this in person so I'm not sure if everything is actually in good, working condition.
-We do not plan to be in winter climate (yay for having the option to pick your climate!)
-They did send other photos but none of them are too close-up or they are very dark which I don't see as a good sign.

Based on the responses, I don't think I'll even waste time looking at this as it is over 2 hours away from where I live.

We were also looking at a 1987 Toyota Dolphin with 95,000 miles on it (asking price $5800) but there are quite a few pricey fixes I know it needs from the start. (AC does work in the RV but not in the truck, it does not come with a generator, needs new tires) Based on photos of the outside it looks pretty rough for the price that they're asking.

UAAFBILL X2, plus very small for two people to live full time in. I also dont see a mattress in the bunk area, maybe it got wet and rotten. Not sure what to expect in a 28 year old RV, does everything work that it says it has? Dick

Tioga is a Fleetwood RV product. Their Class C's are entry-to-mid-level in construction and features.

You have to be sure it meets your needs in terms of floorplan, living and storage space. If it does:

That price is Top Top Top for that size and age. I'd expect it to be perfect. No leaks or evidence of previous leaks. Doesn't need tires, brakes, battery, ROOF now or any time soon. Fresh Fridge and Rooftop A/C.

We sold a 1984 Holiday Rambler 24-ft Class C for $5000 in early 2009. Had 105000 miles. Good tires, brakes, roof, new paint, everything worked: New Fridge, overhauled Water Heater, Good A/C and Good Tires with new Brakes. Rebuilt front suspension and rear springs. We considered ourselves fortunate to get that price. The Holiday coaches of that era were a cut above nearly all others, one of the best on the road.

The areas around the windows on the driver side appear to be delaminated. The underlayers have separated. It is expensive to repair and if rot is underneath the fiberglass panels then it could be a very major problem. It is a sign of a leak (usually roof leak). Is the leak still active?.
If you decide to buy you are looking at a bill of about $3000.00 to repair the damage. That does not include curing the leak.
I find the price for the condition a bit high.

If the first picture is accurate it shows severe delamination meaning severe water damage....if so I would not be interested...Good Luck
