Need to replace gas spring on storage door - how many lbs?

So I got the information off of one of the shocks this morning: c16-08054 100lbs 249

One of the shocks I was looking at on Amazon turns out to be what I need: http://amzn.to/1PUcdRt

It just seems like 2 - 100lb shocks is a lot if I understand that it takes 100lbs of force to close each shock, so it'll take 200lbs of force to push the storage door shut. I guess I didn't realize how heavy these doors were :)

One last question, I believe I read there are only 2 styles of mounts for these gas shocks, my MH has the ball joints, I'm assuming the existing mounts ball style will fit these new shocks or should I just go ahead and buy new mounts?

I found all mine on Ebay also. They were like $20 a pair. Did all my doors for like $200

on my Safari
they are 80# each on the wide doors
and 40# each on the two small doors
the doors are stainless steel, with insulation and and inside skin plus the latch rods etc

its the amount of weight that has too be held up, that is the deciding factor

If it has a part Number on it like 2250 it is a 22" at 50 lbs. That is how mine were when I replaced the ones on my Ultimate I had.

Ok, I tried looking last night but it was dark and I haven't taken the shock off yet. I'll take one off and inspect it better tonight after work.

Yours that are 50lbs, do you have 2 per door or just 1?
