New 78 Dodge camper van owner

Question

Anybody have experience running propane. Just picked up a 1 ton dual fuel camper with 89k on it. Runs great on gas. Wondering about the propane and if it will be considerably cheaper to run. Also thought I'd change the water pump since it's been sitting and a buddy thought I should do the timing chain as well but wasn't planning on it. It's a 318.

It is my understanding that Lp gas is not as efficient as gasoline so the cost savings on natural gas will be negated by lower mpg. Have fun with your new to you rig.
