New Flooring

I was thinking of replacing the tile and carpet in my RV.

When I looked at how they were installed, it appears that all the flooring was installed prior to placing the cabinets and slides.

So taking up the the old tile and carpet will be difficult.
I am wondering if it can be done without removing the slides and cabinets.

Does anyone have any experience doing this type of project, with leaving the cabinets in place and if yes how did you do it ?

Thanks
  • By that he means he can do it. Ernie is THE flooring guy. I was very happy to give him my money and I don't believe that anyone has ever regretted having Ernie do their coach.
  • I cut out the carpet in mine - it can be cut very close to the cabinet edges with the right cutting tool. If you're going for a floating floor, like a laminate, you need to leave a gap on the edges anyway.

Tile is another matter - I suspect you're going to have to put the new floor over top of it.
