Not sure where anyone got any "SNOB" ideas?
Not sure why a TT camper is even replying on a post in the class A forum, especially since it's non technical and obviously just doesn't apply.
I love all "campers" without a doubt.
But certainly don't need to get my panties in a wad over things such as this.
If an American businessman chooses to limit their customers in this way (and I do NOT agree with this) it is his right.
It does look like a very nice place.
It also looks like the owners are looking to sell permanent lots to people traveling in class A motorhomes...
Again, their right to do that, why get negative, just don't go their!
I've been to a couple of those "Resorts" in the past. I just wasn't impressed and found people to be somewnat arrogant that stayed there. Many of those "Resorts" restrict entrance by the age of your rig as well. Here is a prime example.
Several years ago I purchased a 1987 27' Winnie Chiefton. My brother and I began a massive project stripping this coach down inside and out. After 18 months the coach was completely restored to include customized paint, chrome wheels, power awnings, complete new interior with state of the art electronics. We dropped in a 8.1 Ltr engine and new tranny to boot. When done it looked and drove like a new coach. When DW and I went out in it we always had people drop by to look at it inside and out. That was until I drove into a "resort" and were told our coach was not allowed because of it's age.
Long story short we sold the Winnie 2 years ago as we decided we didn't need 2 motor homes. The Winnie was a toy that we took camping on special occasions. We had the most fun with it at regular CG's.
I want to go CAMPING, sit around with really nice people, drink some beer and enjoy myself. I just happen to sit outside my Class A that is parked next to a travel trailer, tent, Class C or other Class A. I'm just not "Prevost Crowd" material. I like being around real campers.
As you agree, you do not qualify to stay at this "Resort". You are so opinionated about parking your RV next to a newer RV, they definitely would not feel comfortable in your present. Just because some people own a RV that is less than 10 yrs. old, it does not qualify them as "Prevost Crowd" material. I feel comfortable next to a Prevost as well as a cheaper MH. However, I do appreciate Resorts that allow only Mh's.
Peaches&Cream, please read my post and you will see the 87 Winnie was our toy, just like many drive classic cars on special occasions. We also owned a second 1 year old M/H at the time which we still have. So, we owned 2.
On long trips we used the bigger and much newer Fleetwood coach. As much as I loved the classic Winnie it didn't pull a car very well. Nature of the beast. Also not as much interior space.
You said you appreciate "resorts that allow ONLY MH's". What on earth is wrong with folks that drive high end Class C's or pull Travel Trailers? The only OBVIOUS reason you appreciate a "Resort" such as that is not to be around Class C's or TT's.
