My girlfriend and I Purchased a 2015 thor 33sw fourwinds in dec, the bad part was driving it from Indiana straight to the storage building in northern mi where it currently sits, My first impressions of the rig, awesome power and handling, had to keep an eye on speedo to stay under 80, the powerstroke wants to run. I have been reading the forums, and I hope 2015 thors have better quality control. My first mod will be to raise the front leveling jacks, as we have pot holes that will tear them off.

I cannot log into this website from my I phone6, anybody have any ideas on that problem?

4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Three slides on a SW, I thought that was a full wall slide, must have changed. hmmm. So how are you liking it?

So far as I am aware, the F-550 has been available as a chassis cab for a very long time, as in decades. Motorhome builders have generally preferred to use the E series chassis over the F series chassis, but the F series has been available and is fairly widely used in various commercial vehicles.

I suspect motorhome builders prefer the van chassis mostly because access between the cab and the house is easier with the flat cab floor. The shorter snout is also perhaps perceived as an advantage, allowing as much usable living space as possible in a given overall vehicle length.

Welcome to the forum, slow down and smell the roses once they start to Bloomington your fridgid part of the country. The view gets better the more time you take to enjoy the journey. We love our Thor Four Winds 28Z C class.

When I was young, we would pass the covered wagons up at 70mph but I gradually learned to enjoy the trip as much as the destination. Don't let local yokels pressure you into driving faster than you are comfortable with especially on twisty grades. When practical try for best fuel economy at around 55-60mph, pull over when safe to do so and let the parade pass. Also, change lanes on freeways with great care. Better to miss the off-ramp than risk a side swipe with a car or motorcycle in your blind spot. GPS helps plan ahead for off ramps and merges.

Don't be surprised if you crawl under and see that you cannot raise your front jacks. Mine had no way to raise as some have been able to do.

just to clarify, i dont drive 80 mph as a norm, i was just saying that the diesel is very strong, and for me the best choice. maden voyage around 9-10 mpg, with under 100 miles on it.

My immediate advice in this situation will be to get a Scangauge and plug it in and set it to display MPG. That will slow things down in a hurry.

Even with my IT background, I can't ever help with iPhad problems. My D4 does just fine (for an antique).

Welcome to the forum.

FWIW, many RVers keep their speed around 62-65. That seems to be the most economical cruising speed. They can go faster but, usually there is no hurry and better fuel economy is more important.

Enjoy your travels, at any speed. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm viewing this post from my iPhone6, so I'm not sure what your problem is.

Raising the jacks will help. Even though it's only about 2 inches, it made a big difference.

Also, do you have the newer 3trax slide system on yours?
