New tires or not

I am thinking about putting my MH up for sale. It needs a new set of tires. Should I go ahead and put the new tires on it or sell as is and let the new owner pick the tires they want. I was thinking they might have a brand preference. If you were buying would you rather have it ready to go or pick the tires you like. I would adjust the price accordingly.

What are you basing the need for tires on? Are they in good condition, good tread? How old are they? Some folks say swap at 5 years, some at 7, others follow Michelins guide which say up to but no more than 10. Net is let the buyer decide what to do. I personally don't think you get the cost of the tires back.

I just sold my mh with 7 year old tires but we're in good shape otherwise. New owner swapped them within the week for a set of Goodyears.

he only has 6 tires

regarding OP question if it was me selling and the tires look ok and have decent tread I would let the buyer decern if it needs tires or not. deal with it if its brought up otherwise don't worry about it like u already said your willing to ajust the price

Place on the market as is. If you don't get any reasonable offers throw tires on it and update the listing. Call it curb appeal.

This is sociological thing.
The truth is that for average buyer set of cheap tires, but new will be good eye catcher.
99% buyers go for what looks good and shines, not for what is reliable and long lasting.
You are not saying what selling price you have in mind and how much new tires will cost.?

I am thinking it's worth about $55k as is. I can get the Hankooks out the door for $425 each so I would add that to the price.

Let the potential new owner decide. Could be a good negotiating subject. New buyer may have better connections for the tire he desires.

I sold my older motorhome to a gentlemen that took it for tires on his way home and was tickled to death with the deal.

If I'm looking at it and it needs new tires I'm going to let you know I know that, and consider it in my offer. Whichever you decide, price accordingly.

If I replace the tires it will probably be Hankooks.

If the buyer is new to a Class A, he might appreciate the new tires as it is one less thing he'll have to deal with. To a seasoned owner, it probably won't matter - let him choose the tires. One person considers Michelins a waste of money and for the next person they're the only tire they'd own.
