New to RV's NEED Help

Looking at buying a class C RV from a lady who's husband has pass away. The RV is in great shape for being a 95 but she has no information or user manuals. I have tried looking on the WEB with no luck on the RV's name. Thought someone may have some information on the RV maker.
Tile says OSHKOSH... Printed on the RV is Lextra,Odessa it is 24 ft with a Chrysler 360 motor.

Thanks KDL
  • Remember if you do find something on the Chassis, the manuals for all of the appliances will be separate. If you need those you will probably have to Google each one up individually.
For the chassis if you can't find a manual you might do pretty good by trying to find a Van or Truck manual of the same year as that would help with most of the cab and chassis components.
  • Is this it... 1995 Odessa Lextra M-24

    All I could find!
  • From personal experience I would not recommend buying a rig if the original manufacturer is no longer in business. It can be difficult to find original replacement parts like tail light lenses and other proprietary exterior items. That said, original or usable replacement interior items can can usually be found at RV parts supply stores. Most original owners manuals are generic and do not contain "housebox" detailed maintenance, trouble shooting and repair info or chassis/drivetrain maintenance and troubleshooting info. A factory or Chilton's van manual should be available for those purposes.

I guess that depends on the former manufacturers. My old 93 29' Cobra Passport parts, interior and exterior were as easy to find as a simple Google search right down to the tail lenses and wheel trimmings. I did have trouble finding some ford engine parts, throttle linkage to be more specific; ford only made my design for one year. I had to fabricate some parts due to squirrel damage.
