Looking to upgrade our rig to a diesel pusher, need a 44’ bunk model and we’re comparing the Newmar Ventana and Fleetwood Discovery LXE. Seem to both have the same Freightliner Chassis and can be configured with most of the same options. Would like some feedback from current owners of each or others who have considered both.

Crawl around underneath, look inside the cabinets and hidden voids. Examine what types of fasteners are used in cabinetry, E.G. screws vs staples. And so forth. They all sit on a Freightliner as you noted and the appliances all come mostly from the same vendors.

For what its worth I have neither of these coaches. A friend of mine recently went from a 2017 Fleetwood Storm to a 2019 Fleetwood Discovery 44B. I did get to look it over quite well and was impressed with the quality it had.

The only issue they had were problems right off the getgo with the jack system. They questioned about some residual fluid by the floor near the jacks they suspected may be leaks. Of course the tech told them it was not a concern and seemed to not be an issue.

They have had no issues to date and seem to be happy with their choice. When they told me what they paid I thought that it was too much, but thats only my opinion so not really scientific.

Good luck, as I have heard good things about Newmars build quality but never have seen a Ventana inside yet.
