No rest stops for RVs or Busses

I was driving from Asheville to Washington, DC yesterday. Coming in to Virginia, I noticed the first rest stop was for cars only. The second rest stop was for trucks only. The third rest stop was for cars only.

Made me wonder what RVs and Busses are supposed to do.

Ignore those signs - you can park anywhere. I've stayed overnight in several Va (car only) & (truck only) rest areas.

How do you define "Truck" or "Car".. Some states (Michigan) are most likely to go by the license plate.. If you wear standard Car type plates then.

Well.. I'm homeless.. I sleep in my car,,, All 37 feet of it.

Get the idea. That said it will be easier to get in and out at the truck area if you are short stopping for the aforementioned very important purpose that does not require you exit a class A.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Northbound 81 in VA is kind of funny. I have seen RV's in the car only one and I don't hesitate to use truck only ones when I need them. Then, they have a couple old ratty rest areas with no good truck parking close to each other but the next one is several hours after that. Southbound 81 is ok.

Yep, that was my plan B. Although I did have to stop at the side of the road on I-95 in NJ last month for a "very important purpose." That's probably less risk of getting a ticket, but I'm not sure.

There was definitely no room for large vehicles at the second "cars only" rest stop. All the spots were small angled parking spots.

With the rig in your signature I would go to the areas recommended for busses.

Nice rig, hope you have unlimited trouble free miles and enjoyment.

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, there were no areas recommended for busses. As I drove by the first one, it was obvious that there was no parking for anything longer than a car.
