number of batteries in dutch star
Can anyone tell me how many batteries are needed for my 1994 class a dutch star bynewmar there are 5 spots 3 under the hood and 2 by the generator. I have solar panels and am trying to figure things...

1994 Newmar Dutch Star should be a Gas model. They used 1 chassis battery, up front. The other 2 slots would have been the 2 Coach batteries. Newmar installed just 3--- 1 chassis 2 Coach.
The area by the APU (Genset) may have been modified by a previous owner. BUT, Newmar used a Slide tray in the rear for 2 Coach batteries on certain Floor plans. IF the rear battery slide tray is there, THAT is where the 2 coach batteries were installed and they did not install them up front next to the chassis battery. Newmar NEVER installed more than 2 coach batteries on Gas models. Doug
