onan 7. 5DKDFJ generator fuel and oil filter

Hello. First time changing oil and fuel filters on my Onan generator and I thought I had the right oil filter as I took the make and number from what was on the generator. However really hard to get the old one off as it was on really tight. Did get it off and tried to put identical one on but find I cannot easily screw the new filter on. Feels like I am going to ruin something. Does anyone know what make model of oil filter and fuel filter I should be getting. Live in Canada and dont know if parts are generic to the States. Have manual but it doesn't say what filters to use. Please kindly help.

    At least on my Quiet Diesel 7.5K HDKAJ (spec H) generator the oil filter that Onan specs for replacement (122-0833) is slightly larger than the OEM filter provided on the engine and listed on the spec plate, but the manual says that's OK.

    you can then go to

    and cross reference IF YOU WANT
