Another alternative is LED strip lighting (the weatherproof type). I've seen some that are even dimmable, which I'm considering to be able to regulate from very bright to quite dim so it's not "blinding" in the dark.

Thank you. I was so focused on replacing the lens cover that I never thought of replacing the whole thing. That may be the simplest solution. Thank you. I will try Canadian Tire first since it is nearby.

my PW outside light is a common type fixture used for RV's and boats....nothing special.
it is only 12 volt so doesn;t need to meet the same requirements as a 120 volt fixture.

You may also consider replacing the entire thing- cdn tire has options.
