Pleasure Way Bed Question

We have what is probably a similar setup with a Leisure Free Spirit. Often we just leave unused cushions or tables at home.

I bought some wedge-shaped pillows that give a better angle for leaning against the wall or back doors than the cushions do.

I travel solo and my 2003 PW was wide enough that I could keep the bed made up side to side. No help, I know. If you make up the beds every night, just place the cushions up front near or on the passenger/driver's seats.

You do know that the nightstand is removeble, right? It wasn't clear to me the way I read your comment.

You did not say which model of Pleasure Way you have.
We have the Excel TS and we generally leave the back rests at home. They are bulky and not very useful unless you want to make the king size bed. We use our rolled Travasaks as back rest/pillows.

Iknow this may sound crazy.. but have you thought of putting strips of velcro on the back of the cushions, and strips of velcro on the underside of your cabinets? At nite try velcroing the cushions to the underside of the cabinet

Thanks for the suggestions. I had thought about leaving at least one of the large ones at home and using just one big one and the two little ones as back rests.

Studio- I believe it is an Excel TS. We do use the Travasaks, so we could try your suggestion to use them as back rests.

erip - had not thought about velcoring under the cabinets. Could work for a couple of cushions, but they would be over our head. If they fell it could be a problem. Something to consider though.

You could also use straps anchored to the underside of th eoverhead cabinets to hold the cushions securely. Personally, I wouldn't trust velcro to hold them. Should they fall in the middle of the night I'd probably have a heart attack.

TD = twin couches
TS = sofa

Escargot - you are right it is a TD. I have it right in my signature. I think I will avoid storing them overhead as I too would have a heart attack if they fell in the middle of the night.

We have a 2005 TD and we just leave the cushions at home because they do tend to get in the way unless you're actually using them. We actually got tired of the PW cushions that one uses as a mattress and replaced them with custom made innerspring mattresses. No more bottoming out during the night nor developing hard spots that wake you up and make you toss and turn.

I'm another PW Excel TD owner. After our first trip we removed the back cushions and the round table for safe keeping until we sell the van. I'm glad you have the Travasaks too. They're so easy and comfortable.
