Posting photo JPEG to Display Hydraulic Jack

Put front jacks down at a campsite, by the way we hardly use them. They would not come up called a man in, he disconnected the hose and they retracted. He said I need a selenoid. Is that expensive, is a mechanic needed or and can I replace it myself. Would like to show a photo of my situation
  • one jack or all of them? that would make a difference in the part needed
  • You didn't post what brand of hydraulic system you have driving the jacks. I replaced a solenoid on my 2013 Tiffin HWH system and the solenoid valve cost about $170 from Tiffin. Replacing it was a matter of using a LARGE set of Channel-Lock pliers. Getting to it was a bit of a pain though.
  • Solenoids are pretty cheap as they go, if that is really all the matter. Labor, though, might push the price up.
