Praise For Insurance

We unfortunately lost our Winnie in a fire in September of this year(2013). We truly lost everything except for the DW and furry baby. Personally I will count this as a win. Everything else can be replaced.
We contacted our insurance company that evening and got the sad process started. We are LUCKY to be Lifetime Members of GoodSam and go through them for our insurance. We were underwritten by National General(once GMAC).
With in less than 2 months we have had the RV completely paid off, the overage mailed to us, and our personal property covered and paid off as well. We were upset that we were going to have to rebuild everything, but our adjustors were with us every step of the way through this awful mess.
Angela Harrgrave and Barbra Carrera out of their North Carolina office never let us down. They answered all of our questions and kept us up to date with almost daily phone calls on the claims process.
We both hope that we NEVER have to do anything like this again. However working with these two wonderful ladies has made it so much easier to deal with.
SO if you are still looking for insurance or are unhappy with your current company, I HIGHLY suggest talking to the folkls at National General Insurance.
  • I hope National General is that good to me----I got rear ended in NC 2 1/2 months ago and neck issues and a detached lense on my right eye have really caused me a bunch of grief....I am more frustrated with the inconvienience of it all. But so far my conversations with them have been OK......and they paid for the damage to the vehicle right away. Glad they took care of you....
  • It's always nice to hear when someone steps up to the plate in a time of need. We had AAA, So Cal when our coach was stolen. We had our check within three weeks. When it was recovered, they allowed us to come and get all our personal stuff out of the coach. Not all insurance companies are bad. Impressive...thanks for sharing....Dennis

  • Glad to hear that your insurance company has done a good job. I, and I'm sure other rver's would also be interested in learning the facts surrounding the fire, if you don't mind sharing. Perhaps that information could help others to avoid a similar situation.
