Propane around Massena NY?

Anyone know of a place to get propane around Massena NY? The place we used to go to just outside Robert Moses State park was shut down last time we were there (a month ago).

Planning a "spur of the moment" trip leaving Sunday for that area and would like to fill up the propane tank.

Anyone know of a place that is also big rig (40 ft plus toad) friendly?

Thanks

Chris
  • Yep, Chris already confirmed the non-KOA status directly with MIK. I imagine the "Kampground spelling causes some ongoing confusion.

  • Massena International IS NOT a KOA, and there was propane there last year, although I did not need to purchase any. I will need to when we go there in 2 weekends, though.

    One thing I have found very useful is GOOGLE.

    Just go to Google.com and in the search box enter: what you typed as the subject of this thread, less the question mark. That simple.

    Recommendation is to look for a link with photos of large propane delivery trucks,, OFTEN (NOT ALWAYS) you will get a better price there.
  • Cool! You're all set then. We just left Robert Moses State Park yesterday. I didn't recall seeing any KOA signs for MIK when we went by though, so thanks for the confirmation that they haven't gone in that direction.

    Give the Massena International Kampground a call at 315-769-9483. I'm pretty sure they have metered propane available. At least they used to...

    Thanks Dutch;
    I'll do that. I forgot they were in the area though I think they are a KOA now. Either way they should know.

    Ok, just confirmed they can handle big rigs etc and no, they aren't a KOA.

    thanks again

    Thanks, but Suburban is downtown - Massena is not a place I want to get into with a 40 ft MH and toad.

    I'm looking for a place that I can get in and out.
