- racer99ExplorerI know you said little filter looked clear BUT we had the same problem and it ended up being a scale built up on screen which looked clean but had a membrane like scale on it , Cleaned with a toothpick then replaced screen at next camping world, worth taking a second look at I believe-Rich
pauperspride.blogspot.com - RollnhomeExplorerMake sure out side shower sprayer hot and cold faucet handles are turned off.
- kg1d_dxExplorerMake sure that the plug in the value where you add antifreeze was replaced.
- down_homeExplorer IIWe just went through that on the way to Myrtle Beach. Turn the pump off open fauet tun it on and after a bit water. Leave the pump on and no water. We could hear the motor purring away just slightly.
Got to Myrtle Beach bought new pump from American Coach, that was there, 149.00, and they put it in all was good. Simple four screws/bolts and two hose quick connects and one plug. Thought about rebuilding it but Aqua Flow won't sell a kit.
They will rebuild it, if it can be for 60.00 but 28.00 each way, might as well buy a new one. It is 5.4 gal at 55 psi model others maybe cheaper or higher. - afrescopXxExplorerAll faucets opened, nada. Opening strainer before pump and water flows freely. All valves are correctly set and not for winterization. Hot water heater full and functional. I will look at the pump once we are home from this trip.
- JayGeeExplorerFirst things I would do:
Open all faucets and be sure that you don't have air trapped in your lines somewhere.
Is your hot water heater full? Sometimes it will take all water until it fills. - Check your fill valve!
- coolmom42Explorer IIIs it set up for winterizing? In that case, it's sucking air.
- rgatijnet1Explorer IIIIt sounds like either some valve is not set properly or there is a leak in one of the input lines so that the pump is sucking air. Of course it could also be a bad impeller on the pump but they don't go bad very often.
