Re- seal of entry door Window

Trying to re-seal the entry door window. Old seal was foam tape that has dried up and falling out. Have not been able to find 1/8" thk. x 3/16" wide seal tape. Has anyone else resealed this door window? If so, how?

  • Thanks for your help. Got the re-seal done with the caulking tape. Worked out well! Thanks again!

That is the reason I am re-sealing mine, because of the rattle. The tabs were broken on mine also.

That door glass is a Rube Goldberg approach to a window. Only good thing about it is you can get every piece you need. Glass, Frame Halves, Tape... No need to put up with a cracked frame or jury rig a repair.

  • When you get tired of that old window and its chronic leaking you might do This A perfect replacement.

    Butyl Tape....LINK

Tip on butyl tape: keep it in the freezer until you are ready to use it to avoid the frustrating stringy mess.
