Removal of coffee maker

Be gentle with me if this is a dumb question:

I would like to remove the Black & Decker coffee maker that came with my 07 RT SS Agile. I don't drink coffee and could use the cabinet space. Cannot see any screws or obvious hardware to undo, and don't want to damage the cabinet in the process. Any idea how these are attached? Thanks, Barb

I have a vague memory of someone explaining how he'd removed a built-in Roadtrek coffeemaker. Thought it was here, but a search doesn't turn up anything, so take that "memory" for what it is worth, although I think it can be done.

If it fits that snug, look for screws in the cabinet above or to the sides. I have had a number of B&D undercounter appliances over the years, several just had mounting screws from the top down. It was most likely installed after the cabinets were in place, so there should be access, but it might be hidden.

Thanks for the quick reply, Johno02. I was able to shine a flashlight up there and it looks like there is some fiberglass insulation showing at the rear (?) Makes me think this was not a full cabinet base, just a frame to hold the coffee maker. It is an extremely snug fit, about 1/8 of an inch clearance on all sides, so hard to grasp and pull. I really don't want to break the coffee maker or damage the wood, so will try again to get an answer from Roadtrek. Thanks again, Barb

Its not a dumb question at all, although a model munber and maybe a picture would really help. Check the floor of the cabinet above it for screws. Also, using the model number, check B&D website for tech help and maybe instructions. Can't be too much, they are sold for folks to install by themselves at home.

Usually the machine slides into and out of a bracket or mount that can be removed after the machine is out. Look for clips or latches on the sides.
