I installed a 22" LED TV in my Jayco this past summer. Then I started thinking about how the cold winter might affect it in storage. Thoughts from others, have you pulled your LED tvs during the below freezing months when in storage?Then I figured there is all kind of other electronics left in vehicles like DVD and CD players without any issue. Thanks!

Only remove it if you need an extra TV for the kitchen, etc in your winter home. Unless you're in the Arctic or Antarctic it doesn't get cold enough to impact electronics.

If you store your camper in a storage facility, put the television in your house. Actually, if you store it in a facility, if it's not anchored down, take it out.If its on your own property, or in storage where you know it's not subject to break-in, then leaving the television in the camper over the winter wont' hurt anything. But, if it is easily removed, why not? Then there's no guess work. Just bring it into the house and tuck it away.

They don't get stored in a heated warehouse and they don't get delivered in a heated truck. The manuals that came with our TV's say nothing about storage temperatures only operating temperature.

I would be concerned about it being stolen. On the other hand, it would be nice to leave it in there so the mice would have something to watch.

Been asked many times but no, there's no harm in storing an LED TV in cold conditions.

I’m seeing a lot of fears concerning theft while in storage! One of the “huge” benefits of storing at home. A call to the police....if things go bad, a call to the coroner!

Hi.. We leave our TV in the 5th wheel during winter storage in colorado. No problem, in 10 years.jim2007

We had a camper broken into and the TV stolen. Did $1500 damage to the camper to steal a $200 TV. Even if we had removed the TV, they still would have broken into the camper looking for something to steal.

I remove the TVs from the brackets, just because the damage done from being forcibly pulled off the wall will be far greater than the value of the items. I then put a piece of cloth on the face, and set them in a drawer.

We have two in our tt. I've always removed them due to the break-in concerns, but they just get put into my non-climate-controlled garage to face the same temps. So, as far as cold goes, I'd have no worried.

We did have one TV that worked when we winterized our trailer it but didnt come the following spring. Coincidence?...... maybe.

We’ve never had any issues, even with the old (pre flat screen) types, storing our campers at “well” below zero F. Maybe....we were just lucky!

Seven years here in Ontario and never had an issue with mine. -20C to 40C baking in the sun.

Going on 6 years in New England where temps. frequently dip below zero during winter and my 26" LED is still running fine.
