Replacing compartment doors on 2000 Dutch Star
Put horrible creases in my compartment doors. Bought replacements and had them all painted. Now to put them on. I could use any good tips to help me and make it go smoothly.

On your model, the doors pop off the hinge. Spray a lot of WD 40 on the existing hinge and channel. Open the door about at a 30 to 40 degree angle. Take a mallet and POP the bottom edge of the door inward towards hinge. the door will pop out of the door frame. Spray WD 40 on the hinge rail of the new door. Install the door under the frame hinge rail and center. Holding the door at the same angle as the one you took off, take a rubber mallet and from the inside out pop the door frame into the hinge rail. |\ Doug
