Replacing Folding(Pleated) Shower Door

Not really a door, more a sliding curtain. Fits on the tub. The tub enclosure is 56 inches high. The current curtain assembly is about 55 inches tall. The curtains I'm finding on the internet are 57 inches tall. What to do? Mount above tub enclosure? Cut curtain to fit? Suggestions...
  • I took mine down when it tore up and bought a $8 shower curtain. Problem solved
  • I believe the 57 inch is the total height including the frame not just the curtain. Curtain would be close to your 55 inches.
  • How about getting rid of the shower curtain all together and installing one of THESE a lot of newer high end RVs have them. They will make what ever size you want.

    This.

Get creative with stuff that isn't always "stock". You'll save a fortune. Even if the curtain is too long scissors and a bit of rubber cement (on the new hem) will make the curtain just the right size.
  • Perhaps the shower curtain is what I need to do. In my case, the channel that the accordion door slides in, that is mounted to the edge of the tub, is broken. I have it stuck together with aluminum tape, but that looks ugly.
It would probably be easier to just take it all out and hang a curtain.
Has anybody ever replaced that plastic channel?
  • Those channels on the side and bottom are usually the same size and shape as a door bottom sweep type of weather stripping that you can get from HoD.
