- IvylogExplorer IIILED TVs are so thin, mount it on the face of your cabinet. It it sticks out too far, cut it back and hinge a board so you can mount it to the board and even store stuff in the back of the cabinet.
- PexringExplorerIf the old TV is in a cabinet-type space, a new TV often won't fit there unless you want a really small one. In my 2000 Newmar I took out the old tv, put a board across the front of the cabinet, then mounted a newer bigger tv to that board. The TV hides the board well so it looks pretty good.
- Johno02ExplorerThe actual mounting could be the simplest part, depending.
- Johno02ExplorerFirst thing is to determine the maximum width you can get it the space, then go to Walmart or BestBuy and see what is available in that width. Hint, look at the ones with the narrowest edge around the screen. That way, you can get the most screen width for the available space.
- Johno02ExplorerMake that three, I forgot about the one in the bedroom. but that is still a work in progress.
- Johno02ExplorerI have replaced two, one in the dash, and the other in the overhead. And there are a lot of others here that have replaced theirs also, and every one is done differently. It depends on your particular situation and what is available. Post pictures, and I am sure that you will get a solution. BTW, in most cases, it is not all that difficult. Simple works. If you cam go ahead and get the old one out, pictures of what is left will help also. Measurements wouldn't hurt either.
