A buddy of mine was telling me about his 1992 motorhome he bought last year. The roof had a leak so the previous owner fixed the leak then had that spray on bedliner (like the bed of a truck) sprayed onto the roof. Anyone hear or think of this before? Claims it was dirt cheap compared to a new roof and should last a long time. One problem I first thought was he sprayed it over the original rubber roof so it "floats". Not sure if removing the roof and applying the spray liner would be better.

He said it is a clear material and you color it before spraying so his is a light tan that matches he coach.

I'll have to ask him what color it is. I know you can get them in lighter colors. We have a 1980 Jeep CJ-5 and plan to spray the interior with bedliner

A black roof is a very hot roof.

Our rig is painted, but our roof remains pure white as shown.

1992 may have been a metal roof. IIRC there may be a product out that has been designed for RV roofs also.
