I had a fire started with something as simple as the converter fan being blocked, it overheated and tripped the breaker.......only thing the breaker didn't blow all the way causing the wires to start burning.
Right on the front of the converter is a sticker that says:
"Blocking the fan can cause a fire".
WHICH I showed and told my RV guest numerous times to please STOP blocking the converter with their bags of clothes obviously to no avail. :R
Since that near catastrophe? Now it's no more mr nice guy. My rules my MH. Don't follow them you are out at the next exit! :B

While these are a great idea, that might be the worst place for it. There is a post over on iRV2 showing a totaled MH with Halon installed and the bottle never went off because there was never enough heat down low and this one started higher up. I talked to Mac the Fire Guy about this in Q and he said they never really figured out the point of failure but it wasnt in the normal place.
I have the same Halon only standing up but its on the opposite side from the burner and may have the same issue. After that fire post I installed a second one at the top of the fridge cavity.

How and why would the fridge be the main cause of RV fires?
